Solar power reducing emissions
One of the key elements of our sustainability strategy is addressing our own operational emissions, and during Genel’s period as operator at a pre-production asset in the KRI, we were able to demonstrate our commitment to this through the installation of a solar panel and battery storage unit which powered production equipment and reduced the use of diesel generators, which, in turn, lowered GHG emissions at the field. This represented an incremental step in addressing our own emissions footprint.
